Runaway, the electronic duo of Jacques Renault and Marcos Cabral, jumped from Parisian dance label I’m A Cliche to its own Brooklyn imprint On The Prowl for the second wind of its single “Dead Dog Farm.” This time appropriately named “Dead Dog Dub,” the remix treatment comes from Sal P, singer of the legendary Downtown post-punk dance act Liquid Liquid, and his current production partner Sean Bee. Jump in for buzzsaw guitar abstraction, trumpet drones, unrelenting bass figures and the best spoon-drumming this side of Soundgarden. This track’s subtle funk is a must for fans of both Liquid Liquid and Runaway.
